What are the common cancers in men? Some people care about this matter, which is good because it can potentially save their lives. Others are plain curious, which is still okay I guess. Anyway, we’ll talk about the different cancer types that are commonly attacking young and adult men.
Prostate Cancer
The number one leading cause of death due to cancer in men in all around the world is prostate cancer. Poor lifestyle is basically a root for this cancer. To prevent it from developing, men must learn how to live a healthier and physically active life.
Lung Cancer
This is one of the most common cancers in men these days. In fact, this is even deadlier than prostate cancer because lungs are greatly affected. The main cause of this is smoking. Many men are fond of smoking cigars, and they’re more vulnerable to this. Other causes that can possibly develop cancers in your lungs are secondary smoke (inhaling harmful ingredients of cigars from people who are smoking) and exposure to radon gas.
Colorectal or Colon Cancer
This cancer affects any gender, but been very common in men particularly. From smoking to drinking, it’s no question that many men can have this type of cancer. Poor diet and bad habits do affect the colon.
Skin Cancer
For people with white skin, this cancer is very common. It affects both men and women, especially in the United States. This cancer can develop due to overexposure to sun through ultraviolet rays. The use of tanning beds is also a cause.
Mouth and Throat Cancers
Both cancers likely develop because of smoking and drinking. Yes, these vices are fairly common habits in men. However, a guy can also have this due to HPV infection or HIV/AIDS.
Leukemia
Another disease that’s included among top cancers in men is leukemia. This is a blood disease that primarily affects white blood cells, bone marrow, and lymph nodes.
